Recap of DCOTN Golf Outing

Last Updated 1/3/2025

Saturday, August 24th at 8am 12 golfers teed off from hole number one on the executive course located at Hog Neck Golf course in Easton Maryland. A healthy dose of competition and laughter overshadowed these 12 brave souls.  They could be found in the middle of the fairway to sifting through pine straw that laid beneath the towering sentinels who guarded to margins betwixt cart paths and battle grounds.  It was not clear if the goal of winning was to return home with more golf balls than you arrived with or to have the lowest accumulative score.  These 12 warriors displayed their astute ability to chase a self-willed opponent in this mix of whack-A-mole and hide and seek, with the ultimate goal of bashing said quarry into a pint-sized hole set in the calming surrounding of a tranquil green sea without debilitating injury to body or ego.

We would like to plan another such outing in the future with the option of various courses.  If you know the sport or have some self-loathing desire to pick up a golf club; there will be a spot for you on the roster.  Open to men or women, young and old (borrowed from Ringling Brother) a wonderful time of fellowship, prayer (Dear God, please help the ball to come back in bounds,) and always a good dose of laughter.  Thank you, Albert, for registering each combatant and collecting fees.  Thanks to each participant that made this a memorable day.

See you on the links
